Toho Co. reported records for sales revenue and net profit in its consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending in February 2026, which the company released on Tuesday.

Toho’s sales revenue increased by 15.2% from the previous year to ¥360.6 billion, and net profit increased by 19.4% to ¥51.7 billion.

These rises were spurred by two megahit films the company distributed last year, “Kokuho” and the latest work in the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” animated film series.

The sales revenue from Toho’s film business rose 30.6% to ¥182.6 billion, and its operating profit, which indicates earnings, increased 30.3% to ¥37.3 billion.

“Kokuho,” which was released in June last year, earned more than ¥20 billion at the box office, becoming the highest earning live-action domestic film in history.

The first part of the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” trilogy, which was released in July, surpassed the ¥40 billion mark.
