OSAKA — A portion of the content from the Japan Gas Association’s pavilion at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo has been installed for a limited time at Osaka Gas Co.’s information hub, the “hu+g MUSEUM” in Nishi Ward, Osaka City.

During the Expo, about 690,000 people visited the Gas Pavilion Obake Wonderland.

An attraction installed at the museum is a game utilizing cutting-edge technology known as XR (Cross Reality). Visitors enter a booth measuring about four meters square, put on special goggles and enjoy a story in which they transform into ghosts. Through this experience, they learn that excessive energy consumption raises the Earth’s temperature and discover “e-methane,” a future energy source created by synthesizing captured carbon dioxide and hydrogen.

Admission is free, but reservations are required and can be made via a dedicated website. The exhibit is scheduled to run through the end of March next year.
