The cherry blossom trees lining the banks of the Hosshoji River in Nanbu, Tottori Prefecture, are now in full bloom.

Visitors are enjoying strolls to view the flowers.

According to the town of Nanbu, the cherry blossom-lined path stretches about 5.5 kilometers and features more than 400 Someiyoshino cherry trees. A local residents’ group has been planting trees along the riverbanks and in Jozan Park in the town since the 1950s, and the trees are currently managed by the group and the town.

On the morning of April 4, near the Saihaku Hospital, both sides of the path were filled with cherry blossoms, making it look like a cherry blossom tunnel. Despite strong winds, tourists and families with children captured the spectacular scenery with their smartphones and gazed in awe at the blossoms.
