BRUSSELS — Ambassadors from about 30 North Atlantic Treaty Organization member countries are scheduled to visit Japan in mid-April as part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation with the Indo-Pacific region, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Arrangements are being made for them to meet with Japanese Cabinet minister-level officials during their visit.

They plan to exchange opinions regarding Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, and China’s de facto support of Russian aggression.

Japan and NATO have been promoting cooperation in the production and development of defense equipment. These ambassadors will visit defense-related companies in Japan. They also plan to visit South Korea.
