Someiyoshino Cherry Blossoms Begin Blooming in Maebashi; Blossoms 1 Week Earlier Than Average Year

MAEBASHI — Someiyoshino cherry blossoms have begun blooming in Maebashi, the Maebashi Local Meteorological Office announced Sunday.

The blossoming comes seven days earlier than the average year and six days earlier than last year.

The blossoms are expected to reach full bloom in about a week.

Meanwhile, the weather around the prefecture was as warm as early April on the day, with the temperature reaching 16.5 C in Maebashi and 18.3 C in Kiryu.
