Trekkers on Trail in Japan’s Nagasaki Pref. Enjoy Spring Scenery in Community-Organized Event

Trekkers stopped at spots where cherry blossoms were in full bloom to take photos and enjoyed the spring scenery during a trekking event held in Ashibe Town in Iki, Nagasaki Prefecture, on Sunday.

Organized by the local community development council on the day, the event aimed to revitalize the local area and promote residents’ health.

Around 80 people took part, walking about 10 kilometers along a forest and river route.

Upon reaching the finish line, participants were treated to “Kuwakuwara Dango,” a local delicacy, as well as rice balls.
